Dear Professor/Dr. _________,
Due to the sudden news of Whitney Houston’s death, I have been rendered immobilized. I am a complete and utter wreck and lack the inspiration and ability to complete the seven essays that were assigned last week. Somehow writing about gender, society, and ethics of business seemed insipid when I just want to belt out “And IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIiiiiiiIIIIIIIIIIII will aaaaalwaaaaays loooove yooooooooouoooUUUUUUUUUUUUuuuuuuu…..!!”
I wish to be excused from the next seven days so I can heal, get myself together, and watch The Bodyguard, The Preacher’s Wife, and the one Cinderella movie with Brandy (Ms. Thaaaaaaang!!), the hot Asian guy and of course, Ms. Whitney H. Please allow me this time to mourn during this troubling time.
